Following the conclusion of the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, four members of the Ugandan boxing squad disappeared.

Angel Katushabe, Nuhu Batte, Ibrahim Khemis, and Emily Nakalema are the athletes that have gone missing.

The four boxers did not show up for their planned return home with the rest of their comrades, according to Ugandan outlet NBS Sports.

One of the missing boxers told NBS, speaking on condition of anonymity, that the four athletes plan to apply for asylum.

The boxers expressed their desire to pursue their pugilistic careers in a nation with superior training facilities and possibilities. Additionally, they pleaded with Ugandans for compassion and requested that the decision not be condemned.
